Zachary Todd serves as a Venture Partner and Board Advisor at 5IR Funds, where he plays a full-time executive role within the management company. He contributes across all areas of the firm’s strategy and operations, including fund infrastructure, investment sourcing, and portfolio support. Working closely with the General Partners, Zachary is a senior member of the leadership team, actively involved in firm-wide initiatives and external engagement.

Zachary brings a unique combination of operational leadership, entrepreneurial experience, and institutional insight to the venture capital space. He has supported the establishment and growth of 5IR across multiple dimensions—including fund operations, investment thesis, due diligence systems, and stakeholder engagement. He maintains a broad and trusted network of founders, investors, and business leaders across sectors and geographies.

Prior to joining 5IR Funds, Zachary served as a General Partner in a private equity firm and held leadership roles throughout his career at Fortune 500 companies, including Halliburton, Baker Hughes, and NOV, where he was responsible for a North American business unit. Zachary has invested in and operated startups in energy, healthcare, and education sectors.  He is the Founder of StrideRock, a consulting firm that helps growth-stage and mid-market companies accelerate performance through strategic execution, operational discipline, and leadership development.

Zachary is an alumnus of The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, where he completed his General Management Program for Executives (WMP’23), and also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Oklahoma. His leadership is grounded in cross-functional execution, stakeholder alignment, and a long-term commitment to building high-growth, high-impact companies.
